ASA ML GAMEPLAY - DRAGONFLY : CLASSIFICATION

The datasets used here for the training of the neural network come from :
  • images of melliferous bees and bumblebees provided by INRA Team in Avignon through two research projects namely Florapis and Florabeilles.
  • images of eristalis (mimetic specie) supplied by Philippe Moniotte
  • images of dragonflies supplied by Benoit Guillon
RUN
Our classification model is a neural network following the Resnet50 architecture

Here, it classifies images in two classes:
  • melliferous bees
  • bumblebees
  • eristalis
  • dragonflies

The model has been trained in a few minutes on 1000 images of melliferous bees, 200 images of bumblebees, 100 images of eristalis, 1000 images of dragonflies and reached an average accuracy of 85%
